As a Dental Treatment Coordinator, you will serve as the vital link between patients and the dental team, ensuring smooth scheduling, treatment planning, and insurance processing. Your role is essential in creating a welcoming environment that promotes patient trust and satisfaction while maintaining compliance with health regulations. Responsibilities Manage patient appointments efficiently, coordinating treatment schedules to optimize clinic flow. Explain treatment plans clearly to patients, addressing questions and ensuring understanding of procedures and financial commitments. Verify patient insurance coverage, process claims accurately, and assist with billing inquiries to facilitate seamless financial transactions. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure all documentation complies with health regulation policies. Communicate effectively with patients via phone and in person, providing excellent customer service and support throughout their treatment journey. Support the dental team by managing administrative tasks such as data entry, appointment reminders, and follow-up communications. Uphold patient confidentiality at all times by adhering to privacy laws and organizational policies related to medical information management. Skills Proven experience in medical office administration or dental office support, with familiarity using patient management software and EMR/EHR systems. Strong knowledge of health insurance policies, billing procedures, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation, scheduling, and correspondence purposes. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse patient populations. Ability to handle phone communication professionally while managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of health regulation policies related to medical administrative support and electronic health records management. Strong typing skills combined with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all documentation processes.
