Specialty Treatment Coordinator (Oral Surgery & Orthodontics) Starting at $24.00/hour Full-Time & Part-Time Available About Us Barsoum Dental is a growing private multi-specialty dental practice providing exceptional patient care in a professional, supportive, and team-oriented environment. Our practice includes Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Endodontics, and Periodontics. We are looking for a Specialty Coordinator to help support our Oral Surgery and Orthodontic departments by helping patients navigate their treatment journey while ensuring efficient scheduling, accurate insurance coordination, and an excellent patient experience. Position Overview The Specialty Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating specialty consultations, assisting patients with treatment planning, reviewing financial expectations, and helping ensure a smooth experience from consultation through treatment. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable discussing treatment and financial information with patients, and has experience working in a dental specialty environment.
Responsibilities:
Schedule and coordinate consultations and appointments Handle insurance pre-authorizations Review treatment plans, insurance benefits, and estimated patient responsibilities Communicate treatment costs clearly and accurately with patients Answer patient questions regarding treatment, appointments, and financial expectations Verify insurance information and assist with benefit breakdowns Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Collaborate with doctors, assistants, and front office team members to support efficient department workflow
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of dental office experience required Previous experience with specialty dentistry preferred Knowledge of dental insurance, treatment estimates, and pre-authorizations Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment Professional, positive, and patient-focused attitude
