Position Overview :

The Referral Coordinator will assist patients in obtaining authorizations for and scheduling of needed specialist referrals.

Qualifications :

• Experience in a medical office assisting patients with referrals.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with EHR systems.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities :

• Assist patients in obtaining authorizations for, tracking, and documenting referral submissions.
• Assist patients in scheduling specialist referral appointments.
• Assist patients with questions regarding pending referrals.
• Ensure all documentation regarding referrals is uploaded into the EHR system in a timely manner.
