Medical Office Administrator Abdelmalak Podiatry Care Huntington Park, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $22 - $25 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Qualifications Computer operation Spanish Customer communication Medical scheduling Attention to detail Full Job Description Medical Office Administrator / Coordinator - Podiatry Office Busy and growing podiatry practice is seeking an experienced, professional, and dependable Medical Office Administrator / Coordinator to join our team. This position will begin part-time with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position for the right candidate. The ideal candidate should have prior experience working in a medical or healthcare office and be comfortable handling insurance-related administrative responsibilities. Experience in a podiatry, orthopedic, primary care, or specialty medical office is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits Submit and follow up on insurance authorization requests Obtain referrals and required documentation from referring physicians Communicate with insurance companies regarding coverage and authorization status Assist with patient scheduling and appointment coordination Answer phones and communicate professionally with patients Maintain accurate patient information and medical records Assist with front-office and general administrative duties Follow up with patients regarding appointments, referrals, and insurance requirements Provide excellent customer service and professionally handle patient questions or concerns
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting required Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations strongly preferred Knowledge of medical insurance plans, including HMO/PPO plans, is highly desirable Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Professional, dependable, and able to work independently Comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office Basic computer and electronic medical record experience Spanish-speaking required We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who is dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and interested in growing with our practice.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 40.0 per week
