The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work collaboratively with clinical teams to prevent any delays in patient care. Responsibilities Submit and track prior authorizations for: Outbound referrals Radiology/Imaging (CT, MRI, PET, Ultrasound) Pathology and genetic/biomarker testing (e.g., Tempus, Caris, FoundationOne) Submit chemotherapy and injection authorizations as needed Coordinate with specialty pharmacies for prescription routing when applicable Work closely with providers, nurses, and scheduling teams to ensure timely care coordination Process referral approvals and send to authorized/contracted facilities Clearly communicate authorization status, approvals, and next steps with staff and patients Experience 1-2 years of medical prior authorization experience required (Oncology, primary care, or specialty clinic experience acceptable) Experience submitting radiology authorizations to managed care plans/IPAs/ PPO and Medi-cal Familiarity with pathology and genomic testing authorization workflows

Knowledge & Skills Understanding of:

CPT codes for radiology and pathology services In-network vs. out-of-network facility routing Referral coordination to contracted imaging centers and labs Ability to review provider orders and clinical notes to determine authorization requirements Strong follow-up, tracking, and documentation skills Able to communicate authorization status clearly to clinical and scheduling teams Soft Skills Highly organized and detail-oriented Strong verbal and written communication skills Able to work independently and manage multiple requests efficiently Comfortable communicating professionally with physicians and clinical staff Problem-solving mindset (not just sending requests, but closing the loop) Preferred (Not Required) Prior experience in an Oncology clinic setting Experience working with
