The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical office administration, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of dental and health insurance procedures. As a vital link between patients and the dental practice, the Treatment Coordinator will ensure seamless patient experiences by managing appointments, explaining treatment plans, and coordinating insurance processes. This role offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to patient care excellence while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professionalism. Duties Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage patient check-in and check-out processes using electronic health records (EHR) systems. Explain treatment plans clearly to patients, addressing questions and ensuring understanding of procedures, costs, and insurance coverage. Coordinate with dental providers to schedule appointments, follow-ups, and specialized treatments in accordance with practice protocols. Verify patient insurance information, submit claims accurately, and follow up on reimbursements while maintaining compliance with health regulation policies. Support administrative tasks such as data entry, appointment scheduling, and maintaining accurate patient records using medical management software. Communicate effectively with patients via phone or in person to provide updates on treatment progress or financial arrangements. Uphold patient confidentiality at all times by adhering to privacy laws and practice policies related to medical information security. Assist with billing procedures, including processing payments, explaining insurance benefits, and managing financial arrangements for patients. Experience Prior experience working in a medical or dental office environment is strongly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel for documentation and reporting purposes. Knowledge of health regulation policies related to patient privacy (e.g., HIPAA compliance) is essential. Experience with medical administrative support tasks including appointment scheduling, billing, and insurance claims processing. Familiarity with patient management software systems such as EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records). Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse patient populations. Understanding of health insurance policies, coverage options, and reimbursement procedures. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing electronic health records (EHR) and maintaining confidentiality.
