The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of clinical operations, patient care coordination, and medical administrative support within a primary care setting. As a Clinical Coordinator, you will oversee daily clinical activities, ensure seamless patient flow, and support healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient services. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of clinical quality, safety, and efficiency. Responsibilities Coordinate patient intake processes, including scheduling, vital signs measurement, and medical documentation to facilitate efficient clinic operations. Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support during patient visits. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and medical records. Support medical office management tasks including inventory control, supply ordering, and maintaining compliance with health regulations. Facilitate communication between patients and providers, addressing inquiries related to medical terminology, treatment plans, and follow-up care. Assist with ICD coding and documentation for billing purposes while ensuring adherence to coding standards and accuracy. Maintain knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology to effectively support clinical staff and enhance patient care delivery. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine, urgent care, or inpatient settings to optimize patient outcomes within a Level I or Level II trauma center environment. Experience Prior experience working in primary care clinics or outpatient settings with a strong background in medical office support and administrative functions. Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems management and electronic health records documentation. Experience with dermatology, geriatrics, or medical-surgical practices is advantageous; familiarity with hospital medicine or emergency medicine is preferred. Knowledge of inpatient procedures such as OR (Operating Room) experience or Level I/II trauma center exposure enhances candidate suitability. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications related to phlebotomy or medication administration are desirable. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced healthcare environments. Strong understanding of ICD coding standards, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology necessary for accurate clinical documentation.
