This role involves coordinating clinical services, supervising multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a supportive environment for individuals with diverse mental health, behavioral, and developmental needs. The Program Director will champion client-centered care, promote best practices in behavioral health and social work, and drive continuous quality improvement to enhance patient outcomes. Duties Lead the planning, coordination, and evaluation of adult developmental health care programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards. Supervise clinical staff including social workers, behavioral therapists, case managers, and support personnel to maintain high-quality service delivery. Oversee intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning for clients with co-occurring disorders such as mental health conditions and substance use disorders. Manage clinical documentation processes including medical records, electronic health records (EHR), and compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and accuracy. Implement evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care across services. Coordinate crisis management and crisis intervention efforts while maintaining safety protocols for clients experiencing mental health or behavioral emergencies. Collaborate with community partners to enhance home & community care services and promote culturally competent care for diverse populations. Lead clinical team meetings, supervise staff performance evaluations, provide ongoing training in clinical supervision techniques, and foster professional development. Monitor program outcomes through data collection and research initiatives; utilize findings to improve service quality and client satisfaction. Requirements Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Extensive experience working with adults with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders and individuals with co-occurring mental health conditions. Proven supervisory experience leading multidisciplinary teams within behavioral health or mental health settings. Strong knowledge of behavioral management strategies including applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavior therapy techniques. Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), ICD-9/10 coding systems for diagnostic evaluation documentation. Experience working with EMR/EHR systems; understanding of medical records management and medical documentation standards. Skilled in crisis management, crisis intervention strategies, patient assessment techniques, and trauma-informed approaches. Excellent client communication skills; ability to work effectively with families from diverse cultural backgrounds. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards; experience working within healthcare regulations is essential. Ability to lead clinical research initiatives related to mental health and behavioral care; experience in data collection and analysis is a plus.
