Contract Job Duties:
Coordinate workers' compensation cases from initial scheduling through follow-up care. Schedule new and existing patient appointments for physician visits, MRI, and physical therapy. Register patients and maintain accurate demographic, insurance, and financial information in the practice management system. Obtain prior authorizations for orthopedic treatments, specialist referrals, diagnostic testing, and surgeries. Monitor authorization requests and report denials or delays to the Operations Manager and physicians. Coordinate communication between patients, employers, insurance adjusters, and healthcare providers. Prepare and maintain patient medical records and charts for appointments. Process, track, and distribute medical reports, referrals, and physician documentation. Contact patients regarding missed appointments and notify employers when required. Assist the billing department with workers' compensation claims processing. Ensure patients receive and complete all required forms before appointments and have access to the patient portal. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational policies. Support patient satisfaction initiatives by providing professional and timely customer service. Perform other administrative and departmental duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of medical billing and claims processing experience. Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience. Experience with Workers' Compensation authorizations and claims processing.
Schedule:
Day Shift 5x8 40 Hours guaranteed in a week
HC Pay:
$41.00 per hour
