Kindred Hospital Aurora is an all-private room, 37-bed specialty hospital we offer the same critical care patients receive in a traditional hospital or intensive care unit, but for an extended recovery period. We are best known for our wound care program, successful pulmonary outcomes and ventilator patient management. Our team plays a vital role in the recovery process for chronic, critically ill and medically complex patients. We are located in Aurora on the east side of the Denver metroplex at the junction of I-225 at 6th Avenue; our facility is on the 2nd floor of the Medical Center of Aurora North building at: 700 Potomac St., 2nd Floor, Aurora, CO 80011 Job Summary The Clinical Pharmacy Manager is responsible for overseeing the clinical pharmacy services within a healthcare facility to ensure safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication use. This role involves supervising clinical pharmacists, developing and implementing clinical protocols, and collaborating with medical staff to optimize patient outcomes. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager also ensures compliance with regulatory standards, leads quality improvement initiatives, and provides education and training to pharmacy staff and healthcare providers. Essential Functions Responsible for the provision of safe, effective, appropriate and cost-efficient medication therapy to patients at the facility. Facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of a system that promotes desirable patient outcomes through safe, cost-effective drug therapies. Performs prospective and/or retrospective drug utilization review. Participates in the distribution of clinical drug information and educates providers and staff regarding the appropriate use of pharmaceutical treatment regimens. Acts as an interface between the Pharmacy department and the hospital's clinical committees to coordinate medication use policies, procedures, and protocols. Participates in discharge planning process. Assumes duties of the Director of Pharmacy in his/her absence. Performs duties of a staff pharmacist as needed.
