Job Description
The Club's byline is 'Securus Locus,' which means a 'Safe Space.' Our goal is to help advance human evolution. We try to achieve this goal through the facilitation of real connections and discussions. People from all walks of life come together over common goals and shared values. Our goal is to create a small slice of paradise, similar to Hotel du Cap, or Ritz Carlton, where we strive to do everything well. We are searching for an experienced, high-functioning, detail-oriented Hospitality Manager to lead and grow our Hospitality department. The ideal candidate brings a genuine passion for the art of hospitality, thrives in a hands-on leadership role, and understands how to build and maintain a culture of excellence within a small, dedicated team. This person intuitively understands the difference between Service and Hospitality, and knows how to make people feel truly cared for. They are graceful and energetic in demeanor, possess the ability to lead by example, learn quickly based on feedback, and are naturally attentive, professional, informative, and kind. What We Love It sounds simple, but it's a tall order: when it comes to growing our team, we seek a powerful combination of smarts, hard work, and great attitude in our candidates. Here our small and dedicated team shows up daily with full commitment and energy to make the world a better place. We pay serious attention to small details and seek out people who listen actively and are excited to get feedback. Unlike Corporate America's current "churn and burn, get rich quick" approach, we are a small second-generation family business who have been at it for over 44 years, and have had employees who have worked with us for nearly two decades. In short, we pride ourselves on taking great care of our employees. If you resonate with this philosophy, we would love to hear from you. The Role As Hospitality Manager, you will be the primary leader of our front-of-house operations, responsible for setting the tone, maintaining standards, and ensuring every member and guest has an exceptional experience. You'll work closely with our Executive Chef, Administration, and ownership to align hospitality operations with the Club's mission and vision. Key Responsibilities Lead, train, and develop the hospitality team to deliver consistently outstanding service Oversee daily front-of-house operations including dining service, events support, and member relations Manage scheduling, staffing, and labor planning for the hospitality department Maintain and refine service standards, protocols, and operating procedures Coordinate with the Executive Chef on menu execution, timing, and presentation Manage beverage program including wine, cocktails, and bar operations Build strong relationships with members, anticipating their needs and preferences Support private event planning and execution, ensuring seamless delivery Manage inventory, vendor relationships, and ordering for front-of-house supplies and beverages Contribute to budgeting and cost control for the hospitality department Collaborate cross-functionally with Administration, Facilities, and ownership on Club-wide initiatives Ideal Candidate 5+ years of management experience in hospitality, fine dining, private clubs, or boutique hotels Proven track record of building and leading high-performing service teams Deep understanding of food and beverage operations, wine knowledge a plus Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and follow-through Excellent communication skills — written and verbal Calm under pressure, solutions-oriented, and adaptable Someone who enjoys the hustle and bustle of the 'Restaurant Biz' but not the burnout culture, inconsistency of pay, or schedule conflicts A genuine desire to grow with a family-owned business that invests in its people What We Offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience Daily gourmet lunches prepared by our award-winning kitchen Paid holidays and vacation Membership to Cloud Medical A career path, a community, and a lifestyle — not just a job The stability of a second-generation family business with 44+ years of history To apply, submit your application at highlandcityclub.com/careers and you will hear back from us within 48 hours.
