Overview Clinix Center for Health is looking for a welcoming, organized New Patient Coordinator Receptionist to join our PCMH primary care practice. In this role, you will help new patients feel comfortable and cared for from their very first call while supporting a smooth front desk experience. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help set the tone for positive patient interactions and efficient clinic operations. Duties Greet new patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with registration processes using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Veradigm, or eClinicalWorks Collect and review necessary documentation including insurance details, medical histories, and consent forms in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies Schedule and check in appointments efficiently using medical software like Phreesia. Manage patient records by accurately filing, updating, and maintaining electronic health records (EHR), ensuring data integrity and confidentiality Assist with medical billing and collections by verifying insurance coverage, understanding health insurance policies such as Medicare, and processing payments or outstanding balances Communicate effectively via phone and in person to answer inquiries, provide appointment reminders, and coordinate care plans with healthcare providers Experience Prior clinic experience or medical office management experience is highly preferred Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding standards, and medical billing procedures Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Proven customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette and excellent communication abilities Competent in Microsoft Office applications for documentation review and administrative support tasks Experience handling health information management while adhering to HIPAA guidelines Demonstrated ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining attention to detail Join us in making a difference by providing outstanding patient service from the very first interaction!
