While the owner focuses on the practice vision and growth — aesthetics expansion, marketing, and provider recruitment — you step in as the daily operational leader who manages workflows, leads our team, and keeps the business thriving. About Us Lakefront Eye Care Aesthetics & Wellness is a doctor-owned independent practice in Edgewater that has served our community for over 10 years. We are actively expanding — adding aesthetics and wellness services, planning for additional providers, and moving into a larger facility. We are not private equity. We are a boutique, highly ambitious clinic looking for a leader who wants to grow with us. Our practice is backed by an exceptional team of remote Healthcare Virtual Assistants (HVAs) and scribes who handle phone calls, scheduling, insurance verification, billing, and prior authorizations. Because they master the paperwork, you get to stay entirely in your zone — operational leadership, staff accountability, and patient experience excellence.
What You'll Lead and Own Human Resources & Team Development:
Guide our full employee lifecycle with professionalism and empathy — proactive recruiting, structured onboarding, bi-weekly payroll, performance reviews, weekly 1-on-1s, and navigating corrective actions or terminations with grace and clarity.
Staff Accountability & Performance:
Set clear expectations and hold our in-office team accountable to their metrics — from the front desk to the optical floor. You balance kindness with firmness, ensuring consistent standards across the team.
Operational & Financial Oversight:
Monitor weekly practice health metrics including optical capture rates, front-desk collection workflows, and team efficiency. You're comfortable turning data into action plans and constructive coaching conversations.
Marketing Strategy & Campaign Oversight:
Collaboratively co-own marketing execution with the Practice Owner. Bring fresh ideas to the table, help manage and oversee marketing automations, execute events and internal campaigns, and strictly monitor the team's lead follow-up to ensure no patient opportunity falls through the cracks.
Billing & Collections Coordination:
Serve as the in-office liaison to our highly effective independent remote billing coordinator. Support the floor team in ensuring strict up-front collection of copays, coinsurance, and deductibles at time of service, resolving discrepancies with finesse.
Systems, Training & Culture:
Build and refine SOPs, optimize staff schedules, and facilitate training. Lead daily huddles and productive team meetings that foster a warm, consultative, growth-oriented culture.
Who You Are An Experienced Practice Leader:
3+ years running operations for a private medical practice, optometry office (multi-doc a plus), med spa, or premium elective clinic — with dedicated ownership over HR functions.
A Systems Thinker:
When a workflow breaks, you fix the process — not just the temporary problem. You build smooth administrative machines that reduce stress for the entire team. High EQ with

You easily navigate modern payroll platforms, Slack, CRM tools, and EHR systems.
Why You'll Love Joining Our Team True Autonomy:
