This position plays an important role in providing excellent patient care while helping the dental team maintain an efficient and welcoming office environment. The ideal candidate is a team player who is comfortable assisting with both clinical and administrative responsibilities , communicates well with patients, and is willing to step in wherever needed. ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Front Office Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional customer service. Answer and manage incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments. Check patients in and out and assist with general front-desk duties. Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits. Assist patients with insurance questions and communicate treatment and financial information as appropriate. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Assist with patient communication, including appointment reminders and follow-up calls. Help ensure a smooth and positive patient experience from check-in through checkout. Dental Assisting & Back Office Assist the dentist and dental team during patient procedures as needed. Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments and supplies are ready for appointments. Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical environment. Assist with sterilization and infection-control procedures according to office standards. Take on additional clinical duties within the scope of training and applicable regulations. Help the back office run efficiently and support the dental team during busy periods. Team Support Work collaboratively with both front and back office team members. Provide support wherever needed to keep the office running smoothly. Communicate effectively with doctors, team members, patients, and insurance companies. Maintain a professional, positive, and compassionate attitude. Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and office policies. Contribute to a welcoming, organized, and team-oriented workplace. Qualifications Previous dental assisting and/or dental front office experience preferred. Experience with dental insurance verification preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Comfortable answering phones and interacting with patients. Ability to work effectively in both front and back office settings. Dependable, flexible, and willing to help wherever needed. Knowledge of dental terminology and Open Dental is a plus
