Job Description

Title:
Clinical Director Full-time, 40 hours per week Reports to:
Executive Director Job Summary:
Has oversight of the behavioral health services for the Housatonic Youth Service Bureau. The incumbent works collaboratively with the HYSB Executive Director, public and private schools, partnering community agencies, and school staff and parents to plan, deliver and evaluate clinical services, positive youth development, and prevention programming to children in grades K-12 and their families. Job Duties
  • Provide child, family, and parent counseling as needed
  • Provide case management for families and referrals to appropriate resources
  • Provides clinical supervision to all HYSB clinicians
  • Maintain updated case records on active cases
  • Assessment and assignment of all new referrals
  • Audit and review of clinical charts and records
  • Data collection and reporting of clinical services, including grant and board reports
  • Budget oversight for clinical services and professional development
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with other community agencies to co-facilitate programs and services
  • Work with schools and HYSB Clinicians to identify students who need a higher level of mental health support
  • Oversee positive youth development programs
  • Implement and supervise Master and Bachelor level clinical internships, including application process, interviews, orientation, coordination of placement schedules, learning modules and evaluation
  • Provide weekly supervision, delegate responsibilities, and assign individual cases and group work for clinical interns
  • Participate in recruitment of new clinicians and interns
  • Participate in weekly supervision with the Executive Director as needed
  • Attendance and participation at community meetings to further the mission of HYSB
  • Develops agency clinical policies and procedures with Executive Director Qualifications The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education:
  • Master's Degree in Social Work
  • Active LCSW professional licensure by the State of CT (consideration given for LMSW nearing completion of required hours)
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to have flexible work hours to accommodate client schedules, emergencies, and participation in HYSB events
  • High motivation and an aptitude to be self-directed and able to operate independently of direct oversight
  • Ability to implement knowledge and skill in family and individual therapy techniques
