Responsibilities Manage patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and rescheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) currently Allscripts/Veradigm Be able to handle front desk duties including greeting patients, answering phone calls with professional etiquette, and providing excellent customer service. Verify patient insurance coverage, process medical billing and collections, and ensure accurate coding using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10 coding standards, and Medicare guidelines. Review and update medical records while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) confidentiality policies. Assist with documentation review, ensuring completeness and accuracy of clinical notes, care plans, and medical documentation in EMR/EHR systems. Support clinical staff by managing appointment flow, coordinating care plans, and facilitating communication between providers and patients. Oversee front and back office operations, support the clerical and medical staff operations, handle HR and patient related issues Skills Extensive experience with medical office management including scheduling, billing, coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and insurance claims processing. Strong knowledge of health information management systems Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to handle multiple calls efficiently while providing outstanding patient service. Familiarity with clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare regulations such as HIPAA is essential. Demonstrated experience in medical administrative support within a clinic setting is preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medical records review and data entry tasks. Knowledge of health insurance procedures including Medicare billing processes and understanding of ICD coding standards for accurate documentation.
