Hour Day Shift Description:
On the Medical Oncology Unit at Saint Mary's Hospital , the Clerical Coordinator serves by managing administrative tasks, coordinating patient care, and ensuring smooth communication among healthcare providers on the unit What will you do:
Administrative Support :
Handle clerical duties such as answering phone calls, managing patient records, and scheduling appointments. Ensure that all patient files are accurate and up-to-date.
Patient Interaction :
Greet patients and visitors, assist with admissions and discharges, and address patient inquiries, directing them to the appropriate healthcare professionals as needed.
Communication Coordination :
Serve as a communication link between patients, nurses, doctors, and other departments, relaying important information and ensuring that all parties are informed.
Inventory Management :
Monitor and order medical supplies as needed, maintaining an organized and well-stocked unit.
Minimum Qualifications :
Education:
High School or equivalency certificate is required.
Experience:
Clerical Coordinator, or Unit Secretary experience in an Acute Inpatient setting is preferred.
