Delaware Back Pain & Sports Rehabilitation Centers is currently seeking well-spoken and responsible Patient Care Coordinator responsible for administrative support for the office as well as assisting our healthcare providers with patient care in our location in Milford.
Job Type:
Part Time, Tuesday and Thursday, 8:00am - 4:30pm with possible transition to Full Time Comprehensive benefits plans are available (after an introductory period) including, but not limited to, health/dental/vision coverage, 401(k), and PTO/sick time.
Location:
Milford, DE (Personal transportation is required) Delaware Back Pain & Rehabilitation Centers is a multi-disciplinary medical practice, which has been serving the community for 40 years. Our doctors specialize in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Interventional Pain Management, Chiropractic Care & Rehabilitation. Our practice currently has 6 clinical locations, and a Central Billing Office. Our Patient Care Coordinators are an integral part of a multi-tasking team who are well organized, detail oriented, and work in a professional manner while creating a positive experience for our patients daily. Additionally, our offices are staffed with hard-working team members who are dedicated to supporting each other and creating a fun and energetic environment. Position Responsibilities/Duties Greets patients and escorts patient to exam room Takes and records patient vitals and updated patient information Prepare patients for exams, as needed Collect samples for drug screening Facilitates patient flow within electronic systems (check in/out, schedule appointments, etc) Collect and post co-pays, and retail sales Assisting the Chiropractors as needed. Documents all patient activity utilizing workflow guidelines Conducts insurance verification (as needed) Discharges the patient from office with appropriate information and documentation Assists with patient prescriptions Assists with cleaning exam rooms Maintains supplies within exam rooms and stock room Special projects/tasks as assigned May require travel to other locations, as needed for coverage Perform other related duties as assigned Job Requirements Medical Assistant Certification preferred, but not required as on-site training is available. High School Diploma or equivalent Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR) Knowledgeable in Insurance verification Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines Ability to contribute to positive team environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Software Proficient keyboarding skills (35+wpm) Exceptional organization, inter-personal, and time management skill Bilingual (Spanish) Preferred but not required.
