The incumbent will oversee various Social and Therapeutic Services in the inpatient hospital setting as well as in the Jane E. Mitchell forensic building, to provide planning, organization and direction to professional departments including but not limited to Behavioral Health Case Management, Activity Therapists, and Psychology. The incumbent will serve a critical role in coordinating various departments to ensure the development of policies and professional standards that align with operating practices and accreditation requirements, maintaining professional standards for departments and ensuring the delivery of services remains consistently high quality. JOB REQUIREMENTS

for Director of Professional Services Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: Possession of a Bachelors degree or higher in Behavioral, Social or Health Science or related field. Three years experience in health or human services program administration such as overseeing and directing the development, implementation and evaluation of health or human services programs and services; planning and establishing short and long range program goals and objectives. Providing advice to other agency organizational units through consultation. Three years experience in strategic planning such as planning and mapping a path between the present and future usually for three to five years by determining key objectives, how to accomplish the key objectives, what strategies should be used, what activities would contribute to accomplishing the key objectives and developing performance measures to gauge and report progress or success. Three years experience in developing policies and procedures. Three years experience in operations management which includes planning, directing, coordinating, controlling and evaluating operations typically through subordinate supervisors. Applicants who do not possess the preferred qualification will still be eligible to compete for this position if job requirements are met.
