Midpoint Pay Rate:
$94,556•$127,649 annually Summary Responsible for directing the overall operation of an acute care hospitals laboratory services. Coordinates activities of the technical and non-technical staff and allocates available resources to promote efficient and effective laboratory services. Works with the System Director of Laboratory Services, Laboratory Medical Director, and the laboratory leadership team to establish long-range goals and objectives for the laboratory. Executes plans and strategies designed to achieve established goals and objectives. Ensures that laboratory services are delivered in compliance with CLIA, State of Florida, DNV, and CAP guidelines/standards, and Lee Health policies and procedures. Promotes excellent customer service. Ensures that laboratory services are delivered in accordance with quality and safety standards. Participate in initiatives to achieve department and system financial goals. Actively participates in interdisciplinary leadership functions to promote process improvement initiatives.
Requirements Education:
BS or BA degree required.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of lab experience. Minimum of 3 years experience in a leadership role.
Certification:
N/A License:
State of Florida Department of Health, Clinical Lab Supervisor.
Other:
Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates and promotes teamwork, cooperation and excellent customer services skills. Requires strong analytical skills, good time management skills, and the ability to solve problems.
