This is much more than a front desk position. You will play a key role in helping patients understand their treatment, coordinating their appointments, and ensuring they complete the care they need. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, enjoys building relationships with patients, is detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Primary Responsibilities Present and explain dental treatment plans with confidence and empathy. Assist patients with payment options and third-party financing. Complete the patient checkout process accurately. Schedule and coordinate future treatment appointments according to the doctor's recommendations. Manage the daily schedule to maximize efficiency. Confirm appointments and follow up with patients (Pay/No Pay, pending treatment, recalls, and unscheduled treatment). Help reduce cancellations and no-shows through proactive patient communication. Coordinate with the clinical team to ensure a seamless patient experience. Maintain accurate patient records in the practice management software. Deliver exceptional customer service from check-out through treatment completion. Qualifications Previous dental office experience required. Experience presenting treatment plans is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in English and Spanish. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Comfortable discussing finances and helping patients make informed decisions. Positive attitude, professionalism, and strong work ethic. Experience with Open Dental (preferred but not required).
