Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team as a Cardiology APRN Clinical Lead . This is a unique clinical leadership position designed for an experienced Cardiology APRN who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and helping develop successful clinical programs while remaining actively involved in patient care. The Cardiology APRN Clinical Lead will work closely with PremierCardia's Regional Directors and clinical leadership to support new facility implementations, provider onboarding and training, clinical education, and the continued standardization of high-quality cardiovascular care across our post-acute network. This position will play an integral role in launching new facility partnerships, providing hands-on clinical support during implementation, training and mentoring APRNs, and ensuring PremierCardia's clinical standards and workflows are successfully established within new and existing markets. This is a full-time, travel-based position. Candidates must be comfortable with frequent travel throughout PremierCardia's service areas based on new facility launches, provider onboarding, and clinical needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive cardiovascular assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients in the post-acute setting Support the clinical implementation and launch of services at new partner facilities and within expanding markets Provide hands-on onboarding, training, and clinical mentorship to new APRNs Work alongside newly hired providers during their initial facility implementation to establish clinical workflows, expectations, and best practices Serve as an experienced clinical resource for APRNs requiring additional education, mentorship, or support Assist Regional Directors with clinical training, provider development, and implementation of standardized clinical processes Travel to new and existing markets to provide temporary clinical support during facility launches, provider transitions, and other operational needs Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including patient history and physical examinations Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions, including heart failure, hypertension, atrial fibrillation, coronary artery disease, and vascular conditions Order and interpret appropriate cardiovascular diagnostic testing, including EKGs, echocardiograms, vascular studies, and laboratory testing Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with PremierCardia cardiologists Support implementation of cardiovascular clinical programs, protocols, and rapid escalation pathways Provide clinical education to facility nursing, therapy, administrative, and interdisciplinary teams Promote consistency in clinical documentation, patient management, and PremierCardia standards of care across facilities and markets Identify opportunities for clinical improvement and collaborate with Regional Directors and clinical leadership to implement solutions Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) Collaborate with physicians, Regional Directors, facility leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality of patient care
Qualifications:
Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner Minimum of 3-5 years of Cardiology experience required Post-acute, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or facility-based clinical experience strongly preferred Previous experience in clinical education, provider training, mentorship, or leadership preferred Valid state license and certification as a Nurse Practitioner Ability and willingness to obtain additional state licensure as organizational growth requires Strong cardiovascular clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Strong clinical judgment with the ability to independently manage complex cardiovascular patients Excellent communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills Ability to effectively mentor and support other advanced practice providers Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt quickly to new facilities, markets, and clinical environments Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, team-oriented environment Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems Ability and willingness to travel regularly Current ACLS certification Current BLS certification
