Support Your Team. Make a Difference. The Palms at Plantation is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead our resident care team in Plantation, Florida. As Director of Nursing, you will oversee the clinical operations of the community and play an important role in creating a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for our residents. What You'll Do Provide leadership and oversight for the community's nursing and resident care services. Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, licensing requirements, and community policies and procedures. Lead, support, coach, and develop the nursing and resident care team. Participate in pre-admission assessments for prospective residents. Complete and oversee admission, periodic, and change-of-condition resident assessments. Develop, review, and revise resident service and care plans in accordance with resident needs and regulatory requirements. Monitor changes in residents' physical, emotional, and psychosocial conditions and ensure appropriate follow-up. Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, pharmacies, therapy providers, and other healthcare professionals. Review physician orders and ensure appropriate documentation and implementation. Oversee medication management and administration practices to promote resident safety and regulatory compliance. Assist residents with coordination of medical, dental, laboratory, and other healthcare appointments as needed. Participate in staff development, training, and ongoing education programs. Assist with hiring, orientation, scheduling, performance management, and development of nursing and care associates. Maintain compliance with emergency preparedness, fire safety, infection control, and other community safety programs. Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, compassion, and exceptional resident service. Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Current Florida LPN or RN license in good standing required. Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience in senior living, assisted living, long-term care, or a related healthcare setting. Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of resident assessments, care planning, medication management, and regulatory compliance. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, associates, and healthcare partners.
