Header Company Overview Florida Heart Center is a well-established and reputable cardiology group serving the area. Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Pacer Coordinator to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role involves supporting clinical operations, coordinating pacemaker appointments, and ensuring seamless patient care within our cardiology practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical assisting skills, experience in outpatient and inpatient settings, and a thorough understanding of cardiac device management. Responsibilities Run Pacemaker clinics in our Satellite offices throughout the month (with Pacemaker companies (Medtronic/ St. Jude/ Abbott/ etc.. Pull and prepare patients charts for pacemaker appointments, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to clinical protocols. Coordinate scheduling of Home telephone pacemaker follow-up appointments, and device checks in collaboration with physicians and staff. Support clinical staff in managing medical documentation, ICD coding, and maintaining accurate medical records. Complete billing sheets for Pacemaker appointments/ Follow-ups. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control standards and safety regulations. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, explaining pacemaker information clearly, and ensuring comfort throughout the care process. Experience Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar outpatient setting with familiarity in cardiology and cardiac devices preferred. Knowledge of pacemaker device management, electrophysiology procedures, and related pharmacology. Experience working within EMR/EHR systems and proficiency in medical documentation practices. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications related to cardiac care are beneficial. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
