Our team is dedicated to providing comprehensive cardiovascular care with a focus on patient-centered treatment and clinical excellence. Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant to support our clinical team by managing patient communications/phone calls, triaging and charting as well as running our INR clinics throughout the week. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical office experience, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and documentation. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. Duties Serve as the primary clinical point of contact for patients via phone, addressing clinical inquiries/ problems. facilitating medication refills though E-prescribing. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper handling of medical records. Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely communication of test results, referrals, and other critical information. Runs INR clinic 3 times per week in our St Lucie/ Fort Pierce/ St Lucie west offices. Requirements Proven experience in a medical office setting with experience in Cardiology Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, ICD coding, and EMR/EHR systems. Certification in basic life support (BLS) is preferred; relevant certifications are advantageous. Strong patient service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and empathetically. Experience with medical assisting procedures such as phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs collection, and inpatient or outpatient care is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
