OB/GYN Position Overview:
The Practice Administrator will oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy and expanding OBGYN practice. This leadership role requires a seasoned healthcare administrator who can manage staff, streamline operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with leadership to implement strategic initiatives for practice growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of a multi-provider women's health practice, ensuring smooth, efficient, and patient- centered care delivery. Directly manage administrative and clinical support staff; recruit, train, and develop team members. Collaborate closely with the provider team on strategic planning and growth initiatives. Main provider liaison. Monitor and optimize practice workflows, scheduling, patient flow, and clinical operations. Ensure full compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and state/federal guidelines. Manage the practices P&L. Responsible for budgeting, payroll, financial reporting, insurance reimbursement, and vendor relations. Oversee EMR system (athena) and ensure accurate patient records and documentation. Serve as a point of escalation for patient concerns and operational issues. Develop and implement practice policies, procedures, and performance metrics. Maintain a culture of professionalism, accountability, and high-quality care.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred). Minimum 5 years of medical practice management experience (OBGYN or women's health preferred). Proven experience in staff leadership, financial management, and operational planning. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency with EMR systems and medical billing practices. Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and execute strategic goals.
