What You'll Do The Clinical Lead is a hands-on clinical leadership position responsible for supporting the daily clinical operations of our Pinellas team. This role combines clinical team oversight, direct patient care, and case management/care coordination to ensure patients receive timely, consistent, and high-quality care. The Clinical Lead serves as an onsite clinical resource for Medical Assistants and other clinical support staff while working closely with providers and the Office Manager to coordinate clinical priorities, support staff development, and maintain effective patient-care workflows. Clinical Leadership & Team Support Provide day-to-day clinical guidance and support to Medical Assistants and other clinical support staff. Coordinate daily clinical workflows, patient-care priorities, assignments, provider needs, and follow-up activities. Serve as an onsite clinical resource for questions related to patient care, procedures, documentation, and established clinical workflows. Assist with onboarding, training, and ongoing coaching of clinical staff to promote consistency and competency. Monitor completion and accuracy of clinical tasks and provide real-time guidance when opportunities for improvement are identified. Identify workflow concerns, recurring errors, training needs, clinical competency concerns, or patient-care issues and escalate them appropriately. Promote accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and effective communication across the clinical team. Patient Care & Case Management Provide direct patient care within LPN/RN scope of practice, including patient intake, vital signs, medications/injections, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and provider support. Provide case management and care coordination for assigned patients, including referrals, diagnostic testing, specialist appointments, medication coordination, and follow-up care. Monitor outstanding orders, referrals, test results, appointments, and other follow-up needs to help prevent delays or gaps in patient care. Support chronic disease management and continuity of care for patients with ongoing or complex healthcare needs. Coordinate with providers, pharmacies, specialists, correctional partners, and external healthcare organizations to facilitate patient care. Identify barriers to care and appropriately prioritize follow-up based on clinical need, urgency, provider direction, and outstanding patient needs. Maintain accurate and timely clinical and case management documentation within the EMR/EHR. Provide clinical and continuity-of-care support within correctional facilities, community partner locations, and outreach settings as needed. Quality, Compliance & Clinical Operations Help ensure clinical workflows and patient-care activities follow organizational policies, provider instructions, HIPAA requirements, infection-control practices, and patient-safety standards. Monitor clinical documentation, laboratory/specimen processes, patient follow-up, and established workflows for accuracy and completion. Support appropriate management of clinical supplies, equipment, medications, and testing materials to maintain readiness for daily operations. Identify patient-safety, documentation, compliance, or process concerns and communicate them to the appropriate leadership or provider. Assist with quality-improvement initiatives, audit preparation, corrective actions, and implementation of new clinical processes or protocols. Support efficient communication and coordination between clinical staff, providers, leadership, correctional partners, and external healthcare organizations. Maintain professionalism and appropriate clinical standards across office, correctional, and community-based environments. Required Qualifications Current and active Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Minimum of 2 years of clinical healthcare experience Experience providing direct patient care and working within established clinical workflows Experience with electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems and clinical documentation Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize multiple clinical and patient-care needs in a fast-paced environment Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational standards Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as required Preferred Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) preferred Previous lead, charge, or clinical leadership experience Experience providing guidance or oversight to Medical Assistants or clinical support staff Case management or care coordination experience Primary care, community health, or correctional healthcare experience Experience with chronic disease and/or infectious disease care, including HIV, STIs, and Hepatitis C Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
