About the Company We are a growing multi-entity restaurant and hospitality group based in Miami Beach. We are looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager who can take ownership of day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll, AP/AR, and financial controls across multiple entities. This is an ideal position for an accounting professional who understands both accounting and restaurant/hospitality operations and wants to work closely with ownership and management. What You'll Do Manage day-to-day accounting for multiple restaurant and operating entities Manage full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, general ledger and reconciliations Perform monthly bank, credit card, POS and balance-sheet reconciliations Assist with month-end and year-end closing Prepare monthly P&L statements, balance sheets and financial reports Analyze actual results versus budget and prior periods Monitor restaurant sales, labor costs, food costs and operating expenses Identify discrepancies and investigate unusual transactions Manage and reconcile payroll Review vendor invoices and payment processes Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Work extensively with Excel for financial analysis and reporting Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management Coordinate with restaurant managers and ownership to improve financial controls Help identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve profitability Maintain organized financial documentation for tax and audit purposes Develop and improve accounting procedures and internal controls Support additional financial projects as needed POS & Restaurant Accounting Experience Experience working with restaurant POS and accounting systems is highly preferred. Experience with Toast, QuickBooks online and/or similar restaurant technology is a major advantage. The ideal candidate understands how restaurant sales flow from the POS into accounting and can reconcile: Daily sales Credit cards Cash Gift cards Discounts Service charges Tips Deposits POS reports Bank activity Qualifications 4+ years of accounting experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred Strong QuickBooks experience Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience with full-cycle accounting Strong knowledge of reconciliations and financial statements Experience with payroll Experience working with multiple entities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently and take ownership Strong communication skills Hospitality or restaurant accounting experience strongly preferred Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is hands-on, analytical and proactive . You should be comfortable looking at a P&L and asking: "Why did this number change?" You should be able to identify discrepancies without being asked, investigate problems, and recommend solutions. The ideal candidate is not simply someone who enters transactions. We want someone who can help management understand the numbers, control costs and improve profitability.
