ABOUT US
Global Speech and Rehab Services is a Miami-based pediatric speech-language therapy center dedicated to empowering children from diverse backgrounds with the communication skills they need to thrive. We serve our community across clinical, school, and community-based settings offering speech, feeding, and AAC services.
THE ROLE
As our Patient Services Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for the children and families we serve. You will keep our front office running smoothly, ensuring every patient feels welcomed, every appointment is handled with care, and our clinical team has the support they need to do their best work. You will report directly to the Practice Manager and work within a supportive, mission-driven team. This role is not a fit for someone who needs constant supervision or redirection. We need someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities and follows through — accurately and consistently — every single day.
SCHEDULE
Monday through
Thursday:
8:45 AM
  • 7:00 PM Every other Saturday (day shift) Every Friday off Maximum 40 hours per week
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage daily patient scheduling, intake, and check-in/check-out accurately and consistently Answer all phone calls promptly, take detailed and accurate messages, and ensure timely follow-through Send appointment reminders and follow-up communications Maintain precise documentation in the EMR/EHR system Track insurance authorizations and ensure required paperwork is in order Maintain office supply inventory Handle patient concerns with care, escalating to the Practice Manager when appropriate
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of experience in a healthcare, therapy, or school office setting Demonstrated ability to perform repetitive, detail-oriented tasks with a high degree of accuracy Strong phone communication skills, comfortable answering calls, taking thorough messages, and responding to families professionally Ability to learn new systems and workflows and apply them independently after training Proficient in EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office Dependable and consistent, completes tasks without needing to be reminded or re-trained A genuine, warm approach with families and children Associate or Bachelor's degree Must be fluent in English and Haitian Creole or English and Spanish to effectively communicate with the families we serve

Experience with Medicaid or insurance authorization workflows
