Executive Health & Wellness (EHW) is a growing physician-led concierge health and wellness practice in Ocala focused on personalized preventive care, wellness and longevity, metabolic health, hormone optimization, IV therapy, and advanced health screening. We are seeking an exceptional Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Patient Care Coordinator to work closely with our physician assistant and physician and become an integral part of our growing practice. This is a unique hybrid position combining clinical nursing, patient coordination, and front-office responsibilities. We are looking for someone who enjoys caring for patients but also takes ownership of making a small medical practice run exceptionally well. Clinical Responsibilities Within Florida LPN scope of practice, appropriate physician/provider orders, EHW policies, and documented training and competency, responsibilities may include:
- Room patients and obtain/document vital signs
- Obtain and update medication and health information
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection
- Establish peripheral IV access
- Prepare patients for ordered IV therapy
- Assist the physician, physician assistant, or RN with IV therapy
- Administer medications and injections when permitted by Florida law, provider order, practice policy, and demonstrated competency
- Monitor patients and promptly communicate changes in condition to the appropriate licensed provider
- Discontinue peripheral IV access when appropriate
- Assist providers with examinations and office procedures
- Perform appropriate clinical follow-up as directed by the treating provider
- Maintain clinical supplies, exam rooms, and equipment
- Maintain required clinical documentation The LPN will not independently diagnose, prescribe, select therapies, alter medication doses, or make medical treatment decisions.
Specific IV medication preparation, administration, and monitoring responsibilities will be assigned according to Florida law, EHW policy, the specific medication or infusion involved, and demonstrated competency. Patient Care & Practice Coordination This position is much more than a traditional nursing or front-desk role.
Responsibilities will also include:
- Welcome patients and provide an exceptional concierge-level experience
- Answer phones, messages, and routine patient inquiries
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinical calendar
- Coordinate laboratory testing and ensure results are routed to providers
- Track patient follow-up needs and future appointments
- Route prescription and refill requests to the appropriate provider
- Collect payments and assist with EHW programs and memberships
- Maintain inventory and coordinate ordering of clinical supplies
- Help maintain our electronic patient-management system
- Prepare the clinic and patient schedule for upcoming visits
- Identify workflow problems and help develop solutions
- Help ensure that patient-care tasks are completed and communication loops are closed Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate:
- Holds a current, unrestricted Florida LPN license
- Has outpatient clinical experience
- Has strong peripheral IV insertion skills
- Is experienced and comfortable with phlebotomy
- Has completed appropriate IV therapy education and competency requirements
- Is warm, polished, professional, and exceptionally comfortable with patients
- Is organized and detail-oriented
- Works independently and recognizes what needs to be done without constantly being directed
- Is comfortable with electronic health records, scheduling platforms, and technology
- Understands appropriate clinical boundaries and when an issue must be escalated to the physician, PA, or RN
- Enjoys working as part of a small, collaborative clinical team
- Is interested in wellness, prevention, and helping patients improve their long-term health Experience in concierge medicine, primary care, women's health, endocrinology, dermatology, plastic surgery, wellness, hormone therapy, infusion therapy, or similar outpatient settings is particularly valuable.
Schedule Approximately 28-32 hours per week initially, primarily weekday/daytime clinic hours. No overnight shifts. No hospital call. As EHW grows, this position has the potential to become full-time and evolve into a Practice Coordinator role with increasing operational responsibility and compensation. Compensation $23-$26/hour, depending upon experience, IV/phlebotomy skills, and qualifications. Formal performance review at approximately 90 days and compensation/responsibility review at six months. We are interested in finding the right person rather than simply filling a position.
