Southern Orthopedic Specialists, PA is looking for a Durable Medical Equipment Coordinator/Orthotic Fitter to join our team. The main task is to fit, adjust and make modifications to orthotic devices like braces or splints that are prescribed to patients by a healthcare professional.

Duties and responsibilities:

Evaluate, measure, and fit patients with orthopedic braces and supportive devices Provide education and training to patients and caregivers on the use and maintenance of orthotic devices Work closely and collaborate with medical professionals Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Comply with all safety and infection control standards Ensure patient satisfaction by providing excellent customer service Ordering of all orthopedic braces and medical supplies for orthopedic clinic Problem-solving skills to identify issues with braces and make necessary adjustments for comfort and functionality Patience and excellent interpersonal skills to work with patients who may be in pain or discomfort, and to communicate effectively with medical staff Knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology to understand the specific requirements and constraints related to each patient's condition Technical expertise to properly measure, fit and adjust orthotic equipment to meet individual patient needs Physical stamina and dexterity to assist patients in fitting and wearing orthotic devices and to perform tasks that require precision

License/Certification:

LPN CMA ATC COT
