Job Description

Complexity of Work:
Plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the case management team ensuring that all activities align with organizational objectives and meet regulatory standards. Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication (verbal and written) skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Have knowledge of State and Federal regulations governing discharge planning conditions of participation, hospital information systems (e.g., logician and IDX), staff development techniques, and performance improvements processes. Requires a comprehensive understanding of medical necessity criteria, payer guidelines, and regulatory compliance standards. This role involves high level analytical and decision making skills to evaluate clinical data against medical necessity criteria while balancing financial and operational objectives. Responsibilities include real time problem solving and prioritizing urgent cases, coordinating with physician advisors on challenging cases, or escalating to leadership as needed.
Required Work Experience:
Three (3) years of experience in an acute care setting as an RN in case management. Leadership experience preferred.

Additional Education Info:
Graduate of an accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program or a Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN).
Additional Certification Info:
