Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our oral surgery team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring a seamless experience from appointment scheduling to follow-up care. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will help foster positive relationships with patients, providers, and insurance companies. By managing administrative tasks efficiently and maintaining a welcoming environment, you will contribute significantly to delivering exceptional patient care and operational excellence. Duties Schedule and confirm patient appointments using specialized patient management software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Greet patients warmly, answer phone inquiries promptly, and provide clear information about services and procedures Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and current medications, while maintaining strict confidentiality Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation accurately and efficiently Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely communication of patient needs and updates Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR) systems for accurate documentation of patient interactions and medical records Support billing processes by verifying insurance coverage, explaining health insurance policies, and processing payments as needed Requirements Proven experience working in a medical office or healthcare administrative support role Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook Knowledge of health regulation policies to ensure compliance with privacy laws like HIPAA Familiarity with patient management software and EMR/EHR systems for efficient recordkeeping Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining patient confidentiality Experience managing health insurance details, claims processing, and billing procedures Typing speed that supports efficient data entry and documentation tasks Join us in making a difference by providing compassionate support that enhances the patient experience.
