We are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Director - Mental Health Outpatient to join our leadership team and help guide the continued growth and development of our practice. This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician who wants to combine direct patient care with clinical leadership, provider development, and practice operations. The Clinical Director is a key member of the leadership team responsible for promoting clinical excellence, supporting providers, and helping ensure the effective operation and continued growth of the practice. This is a 50/50 hybrid clinical and leadership role , with approximately: 50% Direct Patient Care - Maintain an active outpatient caseload and provide high-quality, evidence-based mental health services. 50% Clinical Leadership & Practice Management - Provide clinical oversight, support providers, contribute to operational initiatives, and help drive practice growth and excellence. The Clinical Director will collaborate closely with the Medical Director and administrative leadership to strengthen clinical programming, support provider success, improve operational efficiency, and advance the organization's strategic goals. Key Responsibilities Direct Patient Care (Approximately 50%) Maintain an outpatient caseload consistent with a full-time hybrid leadership role. Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide evidence-based individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy. Complete timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation. Coordinate care with the Medical Director, PMHNPs, therapists, and community providers as appropriate. Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while meeting productivity expectations. Practice Management & Clinical Leadership (Approximately 50%) Clinical Leadership Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to therapists and clinical staff. Promote evidence-based practices and maintain high standards of clinical care. Monitor clinical documentation, treatment quality, and compliance with regulatory and payer requirements. Assist with onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development of clinical staff. Facilitate case consultations and interdisciplinary collaboration. Develop and implement clinical policies, workflows, and quality improvement initiatives. Practice Management & Operations Partner with administrative leadership to optimize daily practice operations and clinical workflows. Monitor provider productivity, scheduling, and operational efficiency. Support recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and retention of clinical staff. Identify opportunities to improve patient access, patient satisfaction, and practice growth. Participate in strategic planning, leadership meetings, and operational decision-making. Collaborate closely with the Medical Director to ensure alignment of clinical and operational goals. Assist with implementing new programs, services, and process improvements as the practice continues to grow. Qualifications Required Active, unrestricted state licensure as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Other independently licensed behavioral health professional, as applicable Minimum of 5 years of outpatient behavioral health clinical experience. Minimum of 2 years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience. Strong knowledge of behavioral health regulations, clinical documentation, quality assurance, and payer requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Passion for mentoring clinicians and building a collaborative team culture. Preferred Experience leading multidisciplinary behavioral health teams. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Experience in an insurance-based outpatient practice. Clinical supervision experience. Experience with program development, practice operations, or organizational growth.
