Position Summary:
To receive and properly route incoming telephone calls to the appropriate departments.
Responsibilities:
1. Answer telephones promptly and professionally. 2. Route incoming calls to appropriate departments or personnel. 3. Answering routine patient questions related to office activities. 4. Informing of telephone calls or using interoffice communication equipment. 5. Relay or route written or verbal messages. 6. Place telephone calls to patient to confirm appointments for the next day. 7. Verifies insurance eligibility. 8. Calls to confirm appointments for the next day with patients. 9. Proficient in EMR such as MDVita2000. 10. Performs other assigned duties as directed by the Manager.
Qualifications:
High school graduate Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Previous medical office experience preferred Bilingual (preferable)
