Job Description

Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee the daily operations of the Resident Care Department. Ensure compliance with state regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies. Manage staffing, scheduling, team assignments, recruitment, training, and performance. Oversee medication management, physician orders, care plans, and resident health services. Monitor resident conditions and ensure timely documentation, follow-up, and communication. Coordinate resident move-ins, transfers, move-outs, and ongoing healthcare services. Address resident and family concerns, complaints, and grievances. Oversee infection control, safety, incident reporting, and quality assurance programs. Conduct resident and community rounds and participate in regulatory surveys and inspections. Lead staff education, orientation, coaching, and ongoing professional development. Maintain accurate, confidential, and regulatory-compliant resident and team member records. Collaborate with the Community President and leadership team on budgeting, quality improvement, and department operations. Promote a positive, compassionate, and team-oriented environment focused on exceptional resident care. Perform CPR/First Aid and respond appropriately to emergencies as required. Perform other duties as assigned by the Community President. Qualifications & Requirements Active Georgia LPN or RN license preferred Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a nursing leadership role Strong knowledge of assisted living regulations, resident care standards, medication management, and infection control practices. Previous supervisory or nursing management experience strongly preferred. Excellent communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively lead, coach, and hold team members accountable. Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, physicians, team members, and community leadership. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation. Ability to respond appropriately and calmly to emergencies and changes in resident condition. CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification as required. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive resident and team member information professionally.
