Duties :
The Clinical Director provides comprehensive clinical leadership for Serenity Health Group, overseeing all therapeutic services, clinical staffing, documentation compliance, and program quality. This role ensures that clinical care delivered at the assigned facility — residential mental health treatment (RTWC) or outpatient PHP/IOP substance use and mental health treatment (NGRC) — meets or exceeds the standards of Joint Commission accreditation, Georgia state licensing requirements, and SHG's clinical excellence benchmarks. The Clinical Director supervises therapists, case managers, and clinical support staff; leads treatment team functions; and maintains hands-on oversight of treatment quality, client outcomes, and audit readiness. This role requires a fully licensed clinician with demonstrated leadership capability, supervisory experience, and a commitment to evidence-based, trauma-informed care. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership & Supervision Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and performance management for all clinical staff, including therapists, case managers, and clinical support personnel. Facilitate weekly clinical supervision (individual and group) and ensure all supervisees meet documentation, ethics, and clinical competency standards. Oversee clinical staffing levels, scheduling, and caseload assignments to ensure appropriate coverage and continuity of care. Model trauma-informed leadership practices and maintain a culture of clinical excellence, compassion, and accountability. Treatment Programming & Quality Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of therapeutic programming — including individual therapy, group therapy (CBT, DBT, ACT), family therapy, and psychoeducation — aligned with each facility's care model. Lead interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, case reviews, and clinical case conferences. Ensure individualized Master Treatment Plans are completed within required timeframes and reflect person-centered, evidence-based clinical goals. Monitor clinical outcomes and implement strategies to reduce AMA (against medical advice) discharges and improve program completion rates. Compliance & Documentation Ensure all clinical documentation meets Joint Commission, state, and payer requirements for accuracy, timeliness, and clinical content. Conduct regular clinical record audits; provide structured feedback and corrective action plans for documentation deficiencies. Maintain facility readiness for Joint Commission surveys, state licensing reviews, and payer audits at all times. Collaborate with the Medical Director and Director of Nursing to ensure integrated, interdisciplinary care planning and documentation alignment. Crisis Response & Risk Management Serve as the clinical escalation point for high-risk clients, crisis situations, and complex clinical presentations. Ensure all clinical staff are trained and competent in crisis intervention protocols, risk assessment, and de-escalation. Assumes Administrator On-Call (AOC) responsibilities to ensure continuity of operations, clinical safety, and compliance during non-business hours. Performance Expectations Maintains facility-wide documentation compliance at or above required thresholds consistently. Provides timely, constructive clinical supervision and feedback that supports staff growth and retention. Ensures clinical programming is evidence-based, trauma-informed, and aligned with the client population served at each facility. Responds promptly and decisively to clinical crises, escalating to Executive Director and Medical Director as appropriate. Communicates regularly and proactively with Operations, Nursing, Medical, and Admissions leadership. Maintains personal clinical knowledge and professional licensure in good standing, including required continuing education.
