Position Summary:
Care Hawaii is a behavioral health care organization seeking a compassionate and dependable Team Lead to support the daily functions of CAREs provision of services. CARE Hawaii, Inc. contracts with multiple stakeholders to provide an array of services. The Case Manager is a member of a multidisciplinary team, responsible for organizing, coordinating, monitoring all contract operations under the direction of the Director. The primary duty of the Team Lead is to be clinically and administratively responsible for the team. This includes general, individual, and group supervision of the CCS program and supervising and directing all staff activities, payroll, education, and training, and meeting all contract requirements and best practice guidelines. The Team Lead will report to the Director and/or COO. This member may work in collaboration with other providers and any other members of the consumer's circle of support.Position Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
Master's (MA) degree preferred, may have bachelor's (BA) degree from a nationally accredited college or university in one or more of the following fields:- Social Work, Nursing
- Counseling
- Psychology
- Psychosocial Rehabilitation
- Sociology
- Human Development
- Other closely related fields, as approved in writing by the AMHD Chief or designee, providing the individual has completed: 12 credit hours of post high school coursework in the areas of psychology, counseling, social work, or other areas of human development, and two (2) years of experience providing direct services to individuals with mental illness or other behavioral health issues required.

Minimum Experience:
Strong clinical skills and experience demonstrating competence in problem-solving, critical thinking, collaboration, and clinical competencies in providing education and training to staff members. Experience may also include identification and evaluation of the consumer's problems and needs, the development of a service or treatment plan, the initiation and implementation of the treatment plan, monitoring of services and evaluation/assessment of the consumer's progress.Prior supervisory experience:
leadership ability, demonstrating excellence in interpersonal skills to effectively work with all levels of personnel and with other agencies. Interest and knowledge of current trends and new developments in the mental health field for the adult target population. Applicable experience will be included regardless of a paid or unpaid experience.Required Certification/Registration:

The treatment of individuals should reflect an understanding of the developmental needs and range of treatment needs for each client.Physical Demands:
1. Sit for long periods of time, use of proper ergonomics, the ability to focus on a computer and/or tablet for long periods of time. 2. Ability to assist with the high volume of calls; ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing is essential. 3. Ability to follow instructions and motivation to refer to various rehabilitative groups. Frequent reading of printed materials is essential. 4. Listening skills necessary to effectively respond to consumers. 5. Ability to identify and support the daily interactions and to deal with each situation in a stress-free manner.Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions Directs the day-to-day operations of the team, including scheduling, staff meetings, Individualized Recovery Planning (IRP) meetings, planning and coordination of treatment activities Ensure program services are provided to consumers during the day and evening office hours between 7:30am and 9:00pm. Service hours shall be provided seven (7) days a week including holidays and based on consumer needs. Ensure that the consumer to staff ratio is maintained so that all consumers shall be provided with the intensity of care that is needed 4 CARE Hawaii, Inc. Team Leader Job Description Ensure/coordinate all crisis services provided by case managers or members of the CM program twenty-four (24) hours per day either by phone or face to face contact for crisis response In coordination with the Programs Director update clinical policies and procedures Ensure the QMHP provides clinical supervision at least one (1) time a month for unlicensed case manager discussing all clients. Other clinical supervision can utilize a combination of the following methods: o Individual or side by side sessions in which the Team Manager accompanies an individual staff member to meet with consumers in regularly scheduled or crisis meetings to assess staff performance give feedback and model alternative treatment approaches o Participation with CM in organizational staff meetings and regularly scheduled IRP meetings to review and assess staff performances and provide staff direction regarding individual consumers o Regular meetings, with individual staff to review and assess staff performance and give feedback on documentation such as progress notes, assessments, IRPs, and reviews Assure all CM staff have initial and annual Performance Evaluations on file with a signed Job Description Plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates client admission process and treatment, rehabilitation, and support services of the program Supervise a maximum of ten (15) case managers. When TL is a QMHP, each CM who meets the minimum education requirements with a high school diploma or GED will count as two (2) full-time equivalent (FTE) case managers, to allow sufficient time to conduct supervision Participation with CM in organizational staff meetings and regularly scheduled IRP meetings to review and assess staff performances and provide staff direction regarding individual consumers Regular meetings, with individual staff to review and assess staff performance and give feedback on documentation such as progress notes, assessments, IRPs, and reviews Monthly side by side observation session in which TL accompanies the High School CM to meet with a consumer, observation will rotate through CM's case load so TL will observe the CM with each consumer on their case load over time Provide and document clinical supervision for CM's who meet minimum education qualifications with a high school diploma/GED.
