Job Description

Children's Dentistry of Council Bluffs is seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Patient Coordinator to join our pediatric dental team. Our practice is dedicated to creating fun, positive, and stress-free dental experiences for infants, children, and teens. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing exceptional customer service while helping patients and families feel welcomed and supported.

Children's Dentistry of Council Bluffs What You'll Do As a Patient Coordinator, you will serve as an important part of the patient experience by supporting families from the moment they arrive through the completion of their visit. You will help coordinate appointments, maintain accurate patient information, and work closely with the clinical team to keep the practice running efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Manage patient scheduling, including appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling Confirm appointments and send reminders to help minimize no-shows Greet patients and families in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner Register new patients and maintain accurate patient demographic and financial information Coordinate patient check-in and check-out while helping maintain efficient patient flow Communicate with clinical team members regarding patient needs, scheduling, and potential delays Answer incoming calls and respond to patient and parent questions in a timely and professional manner Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with HIPAA requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office and reception area Support a positive experience for children and families throughout their visit Assist with other administrative and front office responsibilities as needed Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required 1-3 years of experience in a dental or medical office preferred Previous pediatric dental experience is a plus Experience with dental practice management software and scheduling systems preferred Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Professional, dependable, and positive attitude
