This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, providing excellent customer service, and being part of a small healthcare team. The Audiology Assistant will help manage the day-to-day flow of the office, assist the audiologist with basic patient needs, and make sure patients have a positive experience from the moment they arrive. You do not need to be an audiologist or have extensive audiology experience. We are willing to train the right person who is compassionate, dependable, comfortable with technology, and eager to learn. What You'll Do Patient Care Greet patients and make them feel welcome Check patients in and out Assist patients with basic hearing aid questions and needs Clean and perform basic maintenance on hearing aids Change wax filters, domes, and other basic hearing aid supplies Help patients with hearing aid insertion, removal, and basic care Prepare patients for their appointments Help patients complete paperwork and questionnaires Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate referrals when needed Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families Office Operations Answer phones and respond to patient calls Schedule and confirm appointments Manage the daily appointment schedule Check messages, emails, and other patient communications Maintain patient records and scan/upload documents Process payments and assist with billing-related office tasks Order and maintain office and hearing aid supplies Keep the office, patient areas, and equipment clean and organized Help prepare for mobile clinics and community events Assist with inventory and hearing aid deliveries Communicate with manufacturers, medical offices, and other healthcare providers as needed The Person We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Friendly, compassionate, and comfortable working with older adults Dependable and responsible Organized and able to multitask Comfortable using computers and learning new software A good communicator who enjoys helping people Professional but personable Comfortable working independently after training Willing to learn about hearing loss, hearing aids, and audiology Able to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism A team player who is willing to jump in wherever needed Healthcare, medical office, hearing aid, customer service, or administrative experience is helpful but not required. What Makes This Position Different? Abram Audiology is a small, independent private practice where patient relationships matter. We aren't looking for someone who simply sits at a front desk. We want someone who will become an important part of the patient experience and help the office run smoothly. You'll have the opportunity to learn about audiology, hearing aids, patient care, and the business side of a private healthcare practice while working closely with an experienced audiologist. Schedule Our schedule is generally during normal weekday business hours. We are looking for someone who can provide consistent coverage and is willing to occasionally assist with mobile clinics or community events. Part-time and full-time schedules may be considered for the right candidate.
