Director of Clinical Operations Aesthetic Collective West Des Moines, IA Job Details Full-time $70,000 - $80,000 a year 3 hours ago Qualifications Operational analysis Team development Profit & loss Recruiting Interviewing Full Job Description Director of Clinical Operations Aesthetic Collective | West Des Moines & Ankeny, Iowa Full-Time | Leadership Position About Aesthetic Collective Aesthetic Collective is a growing, multi-location medical aesthetics practice with an established location in West Des Moines and a second large location opening soon in Ankeny, Iowa. As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced, highly organized and results-driven Director of Clinical Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations of both Iowa locations and help build the infrastructure necessary for continued growth. Position Overview The Director of Clinical Operations will work closely with ownership and clinical leadership to oversee and optimize operations across both Iowa locations. This individual will be responsible for creating consistency between locations, implementing policies and procedures, managing staff performance, overseeing hiring and onboarding, monitoring financial and operational KPIs, coordinating with vendors and industry representatives, and ensuring that both clinics operate efficiently and at a high standard. Our ideal candidate doesn't simply identify problems—they create systems that prevent them. Key Responsibilities Multi-Location Operations Oversee daily operations of our West Des Moines and Ankeny locations Create consistency in processes, expectations and patient experience across both clinics Develop, implement and maintain SOPs, workflows and operational procedures Identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve productivity and profitability Ensure appropriate staffing and scheduling based on patient demand and business needs Assist ownership with new-location implementation and continued expansion KPIs & Financial Performance Establish and monitor key performance indicators for the practice, locations and individual team members Analyze revenue, payroll, labor percentages, provider production, retail sales, rebooking, memberships, utilization and other operational metrics Review monthly financial performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue or reduce unnecessary expenses Develop reporting dashboards and provide regular performance updates to ownership Hold managers and team members accountable to established goals and benchmarks Help develop annual and quarterly operational and financial goals Team Leadership & Accountability Provide leadership and structure for clinical, aesthetic and administrative teams Establish clear roles, responsibilities and performance expectations Conduct regular staff meetings and leadership meetings Address performance concerns proactively and professionally Develop systems for employee accountability, communication and follow-through Help maintain a positive, professional and high-performing workplace culture Hiring, Onboarding & Training Manage recruiting and hiring processes as the organization grows Coordinate interviews, offers and new-hire onboarding Develop structured onboarding and training programs for each position Maintain training checklists and competency expectations Coordinate continuing education and vendor-sponsored training Ensure new employees are appropriately trained before functioning independently Identify ongoing educational and performance-development needs within the team Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate is an experienced operations leader who is exceptionally organized, financially minded and comfortable holding people accountable. You should be someone who sees a problem and immediately begins thinking about the process, system or metric that could solve it.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of healthcare, medical practice, aesthetics, hospitality or multi-location operational leadership experience Previous experience managing teams and/or multiple locations strongly preferred Experience with hiring, onboarding, employee development and performance management Strong understanding of business financials and KPI reporting Ability to interpret P&Ls, labor costs, revenue trends and operational data Experience developing and implementing SOPs Exceptional organizational and project-management skills Strong written and verbal communication Comfortable having difficult conversations and holding team members accountable Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions High level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality Experience within medical aesthetics, plastic surgery, dermatology, elective healthcare or another high-end patient-service environment is highly preferred.
