We are seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor to join our leadership team and help shape the delivery of exceptional clinical care. Position Summary The Clinical Supervisor provides leadership, oversight, and clinical supervision for Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder treatment programs. This position ensures clinical staff deliver high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based services while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies. The Clinical Supervisor plays an integral role in staff development, clinical consultation, documentation quality assurance, performance improvement, and fostering a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and client-centered culture throughout the organization. Essential Responsibilities Clinical Leadership & Staff Development Provide clinical supervision to a multidisciplinary team of therapists, counselors, and case managers. Conduct regular individual and group supervision sessions, case consultations, and clinical team meetings. Mentor and develop clinical staff in evidence-based practices, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Motivational Interviewing (MI) Trauma-Informed Care Harm Reduction Support professional growth through coaching, education, and performance feedback. Clinical Oversight Review and monitor assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and clinical documentation to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance. Provide consultation for complex cases, crisis intervention, and clinical decision-making. Assist with equitable caseload management and staffing needs. Collaborate with psychiatrists, medical providers, and community partners to promote integrated, coordinated care. Develop and implement clinical protocols, workflows, and quality improvement initiatives. Perform Quality Control Clinician (QCC) documentation reviews and approvals. Program Administration & Compliance Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Idaho licensing regulations, DSM-5 standards, and applicable federal and state laws. Monitor compliance with accreditation standards, including CARF, The Joint Commission, and contractual requirements. Support clinical outcome measurement, program evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives. Participate in recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance evaluations of clinical staff. Assist with audit preparation and corrective action planning as needed. Client Care Maintain a limited clinical caseload as needed to support program operations. Provide direct clinical services during staffing shortages or crisis situations. Coordinate care with community agencies and contracted service providers. Monitor documentation quality and ensure adherence to best clinical practices. Perform additional duties as assigned. Or another qualifying independent clinical license Experience Minimum of 2-4 years of direct clinical experience working with mental health and substance use disorders. At least 1-2 years of leadership, supervisory, or clinical management experience. Experience facilitating both individual and group therapy strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong clinical judgment and ethical decision-making. Exceptional leadership, mentoring, and team development skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication. Thorough understanding of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, recovery-oriented, and client-centered models of care. Knowledge of behavioral health documentation standards and medical necessity requirements. Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high clinical standards. Preferred Qualifications Experience treating individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Experience in outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), partial hospitalization (PHP), residential treatment, or community behavioral health settings. Experience with quality assurance, utilization review, or clinical compliance. Working Conditions Primarily office and clinical-based work environment. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required. Participation in an on-call rotation may be required. $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
