Company Summary:
Diagnostic Support Services offers a wide range of customized specimen collection kits. We design, procure, assemble, and fulfill over 8.5 million kits every year. Our FDA registered facility is temperature controlled, ensuring all storage and packaging meets quality control requirements.
Job Summary:
A Patient Scheduling Coordinator for phlebotomy manages the scheduling of patients for blood draws, ensuring timely and efficient collection of samples. Handles phone calls, schedule appointments, coordinate with staff, and may also verify patient information. This role demands attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and a strong commitment to maintaining quality in a healthcare setting

Duties/Responsibilities:
Efficiently manage the scheduling of phlebotomy services/sample collection appointments, ensuring a well-organized and patient-friendly appointment system. Skillfully route incoming patient calls and inquiries, addressing their needs with a warm and empathetic approach. Process inbound orders and appointment requests from external customers and/or patients promptly and accurately, maintaining clear communication throughout the process. Deliver outstanding customer service, going the extra mile to assist patients and ensure their overall satisfaction. Perform essential administrative tasks, including patient registration, obtaining and recording of key information, scheduling of appointments via internal or external vendor portals, communication directly with phlebotomy service partners, verifying understanding of test collection requirements, managing end to end patient collection process, and recording of daily activity summaries. Other office tasks include but not limited to miscellaneous customer success and logistics services matters.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong computer skills, enabling efficient handling of vendor scheduling software and company portal. Excellent customer service skills, with a genuine desire to assist patients and provide them with a positive experience. Preferred experience in a medical practice or related healthcare setting, with a solid understanding of healthcare related processes. Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail to ensure accurate and streamlined administrative tasks. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients, colleagues, and external providers professionally. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks while maintaining a positive attitude.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. 2-3 years of relevant experience in the healthcare field
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting and use of headset and computer
Work Setting:
This is an onsite position.
