Job Description

Patient Care and Clinic Coordinator Role Overview Our Mental Health Clinic is seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable individual to support our patients and assist with daily clinic operations. This role focuses on patient scheduling, administrative support, patient communication, and helping ensure a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate enjoys helping people, staying organized, and working as part of a collaborative healthcare team. No prior mental health experience is required. Training will be provided based on the needs of the role. As the clinic continues to grow, there may be opportunities for additional responsibilities and career advancement. Key Responsibilities Patient Coordination & Administrative Support Organize and file Patient documentation. Send faxes as required Schedule patient appointments Assist with new patient intake and ensure required documentation is completed Help maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record system and collect payments Assist with insurance benefit verification and administrative tasks Conduct prior authorizations (if needed) and support the billing team Support smooth day-to-day clinic operations Patient Experience Welcome patients and help create a supportive, professional environment Communicate appointment information and treatment-related instructions Assist patients throughout their care journey and address routine questions Communicate patient concerns or updates to the clinical team as needed Treatment Support (Training Provided If Applicable) Assist with treatment-related activities after appropriate training Follow clinic procedures and safety protocols Accurately document treatment sessions and related information Occasional Outreach & Community Support Help prepare materials for outreach and awareness activities as needed Occasionally assist clinic staff during community events, educational presentations, or referral visits Qualifications & Skills Compassionate, professional, and patient-focused Strong organizational and communication skills Comfortable learning new software and office systems Detail-oriented with strong documentation habits Reliable and able to work independently when needed Preferred Experience (Not Required) Experience in a healthcare, dental, customer service, or office environment Familiarity with insurance verification or medical scheduling Experience using electronic medical record systems (such as AdvancedMD) Experience with MS Office (Outlook, word) Training will be provided as needed. Education High School Diploma or equivalent required Additional education or healthcare-related training is a plus but not required Schedule Day shift Application Questions Tell us about a time you identified a problem and took action before it became a larger issue. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
