Job Description
Description This team is focused on increasing adoption of Amazon Web Services by developing strategic accounts within the Fortune 1000. This role calls for someone with business savvy and the technical background to help establish Amazon as a key technology platform provider. The ideal candidate brings a genuine passion for the intersection of Travel & Hospitality with Technology. As an Enterprise Account Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of an emerging technology. Your responsibilities will include driving revenue, adoption, and market penetration in enterprise accounts. We're looking for someone who possesses both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive engagement at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects. The right person for this role is a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan and consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets. Key job responsibilities
- Serve as a member of a three (3) seller team structure, with one Principal Account Manager account lead, one Senior Account Manager, and one Account Manager
- Drive revenue and market share in a defined territory or industry vertical
- Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets
- Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan
- Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services
- Accelerate customer adoption
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline
- Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption
- Manage contract negotiations
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts
- Have responsibility for a specific portion of the customers portfolio, workloads, and projects
- Ensure customer satisfaction
- Expect moderate travel A day in the life
- Operate as a collaborative team member in a multi-seller cross-functional team
- Set the standard for account management practices
- Provide input into the creation of team goals
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to one team strategy and outcomes
- Communicate effectively and collaboratively as part of multi-seller team with up to 20 matrixed team members About the team AWS Global Sales drives adoption of the AWS cloud worldwide, enabling customers of all sizes to innovate and expand in the cloud.
- 5+ years of technology sales experience
- Experience in direct customer engagement, with a focus on support to senior executives (Vice President and C-level)
- Experience with large scale IT/digital/business transformation or migration programs in a customer facing role Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
