A Clinical Supervisor or Manager supervises staff and manages services in a clinical program. May provide clinical supervision for nursing, counseling or home health care staff. Works to ensure quality patient care. Trains and develops clinical staff and manages clinical program budgets.
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring that all departments run efficiently, and that guest satisfaction is prioritized. The General Manager will lead and manage all hotel staff, develop business strategies to drive revenue, ensure compliance with company standards, and maintain a positive hotel environment.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Staff Management:
Lead, supervise, and motivate hotel staff, including department heads (front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage, etc.). Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and offer training and development opportunities. Create and implement staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
Guest Satisfaction:
Ensure a high standard of guest service is maintained at all times. Resolve guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally. Monitor guest feedback and take action to improve the guest experience based on reviews and comments.
Financial Management:
Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of the hotel. Monitor and control expenses to ensure the hotel meets profitability goals. Develop pricing strategies and promotions to drive revenue. Review and approve all financial reports, including profit and loss statements.
Operations Oversight:
Ensure smooth daily operations across all hotel departments (front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, etc.). Develop and implement operating procedures to ensure hotel operations are efficient and cost-effective. Maintain inventory control, monitor supplies, and ensure the hotel is well-maintained and clean.
Sales and Marketing:
Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the hotel, increase bookings, and enhance brand visibility. Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and other business partners. Monitor and evaluate competition and market trends to adjust strategies accordingly.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure the hotel complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety, and environmental laws. Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff by implementing appropriate safety protocols. Ensure all staff members are trained in health and safety procedures.
Strategic Planning:
Develop long-term strategies to improve hotel performance and expand business opportunities. Implement company initiatives and ensure adherence to Best Western's brand standards. Regularly assess hotel performance and make recommendations for improvement.
Reporting and Communication:
Provide regular reports to the ownership group or corporate management team regarding hotel performance, challenges, and opportunities. Ensure clear and timely communication between departments and across the hotel.
Qualifications:
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience :
5+ years of experience in hotel management, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
Skills :
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proven ability to manage budgets, P&L, and financial reports. Exceptional guest service skills and problem-solving abilities. Experience in marketing, sales, and business development. Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office.
Certifications :
A valid hotel management certification or equivalent is a plus.
Availability :
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced hotel environment. Requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift items, and work in various weather conditions. Requires handling multiple tasks and prioritizing under pressure.
