POSITION OVERVIEW
The Executive Director serves as the chief operational and clinical administrator for all home health services across all branch locations and service lines. This is a hands-on executive leadership role requiring a combination of clinical expertise, operational management, and financial acumen. The Executive Director assumes ultimate operational accountability for clinical quality, regulatory compliance, billing integrity, and business performance across the agency. Clinical Leadership & Operations Provide strategic clinical direction across all service lines (PT, OT, ST, wound care). Ensure high-quality, compliant patient care by monitoring outcomes, overseeing quality assurance, infection control, and clinical staff competency. Coordinate operations across all branch locations—managing census, staffing, scheduling, patient satisfaction, and facility partnerships. Financial Management & Business Growth Assume full P&L accountability for all branch operations. Develop and monitor budgets, analyze financial performance, manage key metrics (revenue, reimbursement, cost per visit), negotiate vendor contracts, and develop strategies to drive business growth and market opportunities. Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management Maintain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, state, and federal regulatory requirements. Ensure

compliance, coordinate with auditors during inspections, implement corrective action plans, and ensure billing integrity and documentation accuracy. Team Leadership & Strategic Planning Lead recruitment, performance management, and professional development of clinical and administrative staff across locations. Build succession plans and foster a culture of accountability and clinical excellence. Partner with leadership on strategic planning and present operational/financial reports. Represent agency at community and professional events.
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Credentials RN license with BSN/MSN or 3+ years RN experience (2 years in home health) Physician license (MD/DO) with healthcare administration experience Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management or Business Administration with equivalent professional healthcare administration experience Per 42 CFR 484.115 and 77 Illinois Administrative Code 245.20. Experience & Competencies Minimum 1-3 years clinical or supervisory home health experience required. Must demonstrate multibranch leadership, Medicare regulatory knowledge, business acumen, EHR/HRIS proficiency, and valid driver's license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, or related field Multi-site or multi-branch leadership experience Experience managing P&L for $1M+ revenue operations Familiarity with home health billing, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, and OASIS documentation Experience managing regulatory audits and compliance initiatives HCAHPS or similar patient satisfaction program experience Certification in healthcare administration (ACHE, CHPA, or equivalent) Track record of driving revenue growth and operational efficiency improvements
PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travel required: Moderate to frequent travel between branch locations (within region/state); flexibility for emergency response or operational needs
