Description:
Pana Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated Patient Registration Coordinator to lead our Patient Registration team. In this role, you will oversee daily registration and switchboard operations, coordinate staffing and department workflows, ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements, and support staff development and performance. You will also help provide an exceptional patient experience by promoting accurate registration, insurance verification, financial counseling, and outstanding customer service while fostering a collaborative and compassionate environment.
Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent (GED). Previous experience working with public required, preferably in a healthcare setting. Must be able to take initiative and responsibility for actions. Excellent verbal communication skills. Bilingual skills are beneficial but not required. Able to assist with flexible hours in staffing department needs. Visual and hearing acuity pertinent to communication with patients, visitors and staff. Displays a positive attitude. Handles conflict situations effectively. Able to perform assigned duties as a team and independently without direct supervision. Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. Able to operate a personal computer including keyboard proficiency. Familiarity with Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Must be able to read, write and understand English.
