Job Summary Busy and well respected Oral Surgery practice- Looking for a new team member well versed with various Dental Insurances, dental insurance verifications, answer phone calls related to dental billing questions, discuss financials with patients, and present and discuss the financial aspect of our Treatment Plans with patients, answer overflow telephone calls and help our reception front desk schedule patients. Must have a positive and professional attitude with the ability to connect with patients, and multitask. Someone who is friendly, team player, good attitude, reliable person. Must understand how dental insurance applies to patient treatments, being able to determine patient co-pays and collect payments, entering insurance payments in and doing all aspects of billing. Must be comfortable presenting and collecting on large financial treatment cases. This should be your profession, not a temporary job. Responsibilities Verify dental insurance benefits, coverage details, and eligibility for patients prior to treatment. Obtain prior authorization from insurance providers for complex procedures, adhering to dental insurance policy guidelines. Maintain comprehensive medical/dental records and electronic health records (EHR) management in compliance with clinical confidentiality policies. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their insurance benefits, coverage limitations, and billing inquiries while providing excellent customer service. Stay current with changes in health insurance policies, managed care regulations, and medical coding standards relevant to dental services. Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes. Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security. Experience with WinOMS or EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management. Familiarity with dental terminology, dental billing, and dental coding practices including CDT and ICD-10 coding systems. Understanding of dental office operations office experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of dental insurance policies, managed care processes, and insurance prior authorization procedures. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in handling dental records and billing documentation. Exceptional customer service skills to assist patients effectively while maintaining professionalism in sensitive situations. $26.00 - $27.00 per hour
