Job DescriptionThe Ops Coordinator, Rehab Patient Services reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Operations Coordinator, Rehab Patient Services is responsible for registration and scheduling activities of multiple outpatient Rehabilitation Services Clinics in consultation with the Rehab Patient Services Manager, clinical leadership team and/or clinical staff. Assists Rehab Patient Services Manager in the supervision, hiring, training, teaching, coaching, and scheduling of front office staff in their assigned RS clinics. Operations Coordinator has comprehensive knowledge of Rehabilitation Services patient needs and works to ensure smooth and efficient scheduling and registration for efficient delivery of care, including problem resolution. This position will support Rehab Patient Services Manager in projects involving CPT and ICD coding and health insurance patient billing. The position is an integral part of the practice leadership team.
Responsibilities:
Core Skills:
 Ops Coordinator, Rehab Patient ServicesOps Coordinator, Rehab Patient Services will be able to perform the front-line duties of scheduling, registration and patient check in as needed to fill in staffing gaps and/or on a regular basis.
Assists Manager with employee engagement:
creating an environment that supports their professional role, health, and well-being. Participates in interview process and onboarding of new staff. Assists with coaching, mentoring, and staff development. Assists Rehab Patient Services Manager in the annual performance evaluation process in their areas of accountability. Partners with Rehab Services Managers and other health professionals and leadership in supporting the patient experience. Partners with clinical leaders to schedule staff for adequate coverage to meet the needs of the department; maintains attendance records and completes accurate payroll. 
Customer Focus:
Listens to customer feedback and implements solutions and/or interventions as appropriate. 
Creative Leadership:
Assists Rehab Patient Services Manager in translating organizational vision into a unit or service area vision that engages staff in contributing to and achieving that vision. Coaching and 
Development:
Provides just-in-time feedback to improve performance and the self-esteem of staff. Seeks ways to match staff members' talents and career interests with organizational opportunities. 
Business Operations:
 Works with Rehab Patient Services Manager and RS leadership to ensure consistency in information, consistency in process and compliance with overall business policy and procedureActs as the local patient access leader to disseminate appropriate information and changes in processes and procedures
Continuous Learning:
Assist Rehab Patient Services Manager to examine ways to improve business relationships with customers, suppliers, community, etc. Seeks and is open to innovative ideas from a wide range of sources; encourages others to share knowledge and best practices.
QualificationsRequired:
2 years of relevant experience required. High school graduate required. 
Preferred:
